The blue whale

Did you know that the blue whale's heart is the size of a car? He must have a lot of love to give!! I wonder how big it would look if you saw it in real life? The blue whale must have lots of blue on it's body because it's the biggest animal on the earth.

how fast the earth orbits the sun.

Did you know that the earth orbits the sun at over 100 thousand miles per hour. That's even faster than my dad drives. I would get so dizzy if I were the earth because the earth goes around the sun and spins at the same time.

New Humpback Dinosaur

This undated handout image provided by the journal Nature shows a hypothetical reconstruction of the flesh-eating dinosaur. Scientists found a nearly complete fossil of a new dinosaur that sports a noticeable hump, maybe as advertising.
Did you know that paleontologists have found a new dinosaur fossil in Spain. It is weird because it has a 16 inch hump on his back. This fossil is the most complete meat eater fossil ever found. When I become a paleontologist, I hope that I can find a thousand fossils of this dinosaur.

The dire wolf and the gray wolf

gray wolf
dire wolf
Did you know that the dire wolf and the gray wolf were cousins. It is very weird that the dire wolf would chase his little cousin the gray wolf all around. It is also very weird how the dire wolf was stronger than the gray wolf and the dire wolf did not survive but his little cousin, the gray wolf was weaker than the dire wolf. How did the dire wolf not survive, but his little cousin did?

Short Faced Bear

I learned in a documentary today that the short-faced bear was the biggest bear to ever live. He lived at the same time as the saber-tooth tiger. He was 11 feet tall, and he is a cousin to the grizzly bear. By the way, the name saber-tooth tiger is a nick-name for smilodon.
