Today my cousin and me were playing at my grandparents house and we found a cocoon in the tree fort. The cocoon is one stage of the butterflies life cycle called pupil. Some butterflies live in California in tree climates. Butterflies also drink pollin from certain kinds of flowers.
That is so awesome, I love seeing nature in action. What an amazing insect. I think the straw like mouth called the proboscis is very strange and interesting at the same time. Their wings are so delicate that we shouldn't catch them or anything like that as it could really hurt them.
